Brian Askins began in the insurance industry 33 years ago. In April of 1990 he began his career running a debit route with Reliable Life Insurance Company. Brian was the company Rookie of the Year in 1991 and set an all time record for Life sales by selling (placing) 465 Life policies in that calendar year.

In April of 1997 he then moved to Mutual of Omaha where he became a General Manager of a seven-state territory. When Brian took over the Agency at Mutual of Omaha, the agency consistently ranked in the 40’s, but with Brian’s leadership and the team he surrounded himself with, 10 short years, they were consistently the number one agency in the entire company.

In February of 2014, Brian left Mutual and started his own independent insurance agency – Secure Insurance Group located in Springfield, MO. When Brian started Secure he had one goal in mind: to create the best independent insurance opportunity that an agent could dream of being a part of.

In 2022, Secure Insurance Group merged with Advance Team Partners & formed Impact Legacy Group, a company aiming to make an impact in the lives of others. Brian Askins is the CEO.

If you were to ask Brian what his biggest accomplishment in life would be- it wouldn’t take long for him to answer. He would tell you that his family means everything to him. He has been married to Patti for more than 32 years. They have four children, three in-laws, and six grandchildren.

After a lifelong career in sales since the age of 26 and before joining the insurance marketplace, Roger Short, a transplanted Canadian was one of five managing partners who built and exited a national multi-million dollar advertising and publishing company in the Yellow Pages industry that achieved over 62M in annual revenue. He was formerly the president and CEO of Advance Team Partners, a nationally recognized IMO in the life insurance space.

He’s also the founder of the Life Insurance Academy, the premier training academy for life insurance agents and agencies with Courses, Coaching, and LIVE Event Training Boot Camps with his team of industry leaders.
He’s also the co-host of the Top Ranked Life Insurance Academy Podcast, reaching agents around the world currently with 25,000 downloads a month and growing!
And he’s also the founder of Power Producers in Paradise, an annual high-level business leadership summit at a tropical destination.
Lastly and most importantly, Roger is a grateful husband to his wife of 30 years Rose, and a proud father to three amazing and beautifully inspirational daughters.
